Toni Gonzaga Shrugs Off Criticisms Of Her HostingToni Gonzaga simply shrugged off criticisms of the way she hosted the Bb. Pilipinas 2015 coronation night last March 15, Sunday, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Toni said it does not penetrate her anymore, and that she's used to bashing and criticisms of her and her work. She has been in the industry for a while now, so she learned to ignore these things.
She's also welcome to criticisms, especially constructive ones.
Some of the people who criticized Toni are former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Nina Ricci Alagao and Cebu-based fashion designer Cary Santiago.
Nina said Toni was overconfident and disrespectful of the contestants and candidates. She even pointed out that if Toni should remember the way she looked before she had her skin whitened and before she had a nose job. She has since apologized for her words.
Cary, on the other hand, pointed out that the candidates were nervous enough without the need for Toni's sarcasm.
Meanwhile, Toni said she is not yet focused on her impending marriage to director Paul Soriano because she's committed to finish her movie with Coco Martin and her hosting for the 10th anniversary of "Pinoy Big Brother."
She is not being stressed by these big events in her life. Her wedding will be simple, so it won't be difficult to organize.
She hasn't noticed if there are changed in their lives already. She's engaged, yes, but she's not focusing on that because she wants to fulfill her commitments to her work first.
The only difference is that Toni and Paul are more secured now that they are about to get married.
As of now, they have not talked about where they are going to live after the wedding. But definitely, Toni is moving out of her parents' house. Her parents have already accepted this since Toni's going to build her own family.
Toni does not intend to slow down from showbiz once she gets married. She and Paul have been together for eight years, so they have their time management down to a pat.
She's also not afraid that her image will change once she gets married. She's already at the right age, so she's not scared to make the right decisions in her life anymore.
In one of Paul's interviews, he said that he's willing to sign a prenup agreement, especially because Toni earns more than him. Toni does not want a prenup agreement, however.
"Hindi naman ako Ayala, grabe naman! Wala akong ganun-ganun."
