Maja Salvador Came To Gerald Anderson’s Defense, Said That She Was A Good Friend To Kim ChiuMaja Salvador confirmed that she and Gerald Anderson are not yet an item, but still defended the actor against the rumors circulating that he was a “playboy” and “heartbreaker.”
Salvador told PEP.PH that she also saw Anderson that way before when she was hearing things about him. However, once she has gotten to know him, she realized that he’s a different person from what the other people were portraying him to be.
She, however, realized that it would be difficult for some people to believe her because they would think that Anderson is presenting the best of himself to Salvador since he is courting her.
Salvador and Anderson spent days in La Union at a sports event organized by the young actor for his friends. This was also in celebration of Anderson’s birthday last March 7. Pictures that were posted on the Internet showed that the two Kapamilya celebrities are really close these days.
But Salvador said that they are still getting to know each other. Salvador and her bestfriend, Kim Chiu, have stopped talking since rumors about Salvador and Anderson started circulating.
Chiu was Anderson’s former flame.
Salvador said that Anderson is a gentleman. “Sabi ko sa kanya, sabi ko, ‘Kaya maraming nagagalit sa ‘yo, e, napakabait mo. Sobrang gentleman,” she told PEP.PH.
She said that she appreciates that Anderson is always there for her, especially now that a lot of people are criticizing them.
“Hindi ko yun hiniling sa kanya, pero nandiyan siya. Nandiyan siya lagi,” Salvador said.
When asked about Chiu, Salvador said that she will remain a friend to her and that she still values their friendship. They are co-stars in ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye “Ina, Kapatid, Anak.”
She said that she doesn’t want to defend herself anymore against her bashers because the situation will only get worse. In every situation, there are different versions, Salvador said.
“May version ko, version niya [Kim], version ni Gerald, version ninyo, version ng ibang tao. Kung dadagdag pa ang version ko, maguguluhan kayong lahat,” Salvador said.
She added that it’s enough for her to know that she has been a good friend to Chiu.
Salvador said that she had tried to reach out to Chiu a couple of times, and that she is just waiting for the right time again.
“Kahit na ano’ng mangyari, kaibigan niya pa rin ako. Ang pagkakaibigan, nagkakaintindihan. Pero nandito lang kami sa lugar ngayon, sa sitwasyon ngayon kung saan kailangan naming pagdaanan,” she told PEP.PH.
She was also asked whether there is any truth to the rumors that Chiu walked out on one of their scenes for “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” but Salvador refused to talk about it.
