Both movies were entries to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival.

For the Best Actress category, Locsin beat superstar Nora Aunor for Thy Womb and Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos for The Healing.

Other Best Actress nominees were Gina Alajar for Mater Dolorosa, Bea Alonzo for The Mistress, Angelica Panganiban for One More Try and Jodi Sta. Maria for Migrante.

For the Best Actor category, Ejercito bested John Lloyd Cruz for The Mistress, Dingdong Dantes for One More Try, Coco Martin for Sta. Nina, Jericho Rosales for Alagwa and Aga Muhlach for Of All The Things.
