Daniel Matsunaga Prioritizes Showbiz Career Over FootballDaniel Matsunaga has revealed that he now prioritizes his showbiz career over his football career.
The Brazilian-Japanese model made the revelation to the Philippine Entertainment Portal in a recent interview after the personality’s press event promoting PLDT Home’s heyU application.
Asked if he would quit show business if given the chance to have a full-time professional football career, the model, actor and football player said: “I don't want that. It took me so long to do what I did [in show business].”
He explained that he has spend several years doing “so many workshops” and working hard for his career in showbiz.
“I plan to have showbiz as a priority, to pursue showbiz talaga. Football is just my sideline,” Matsunaga said.
Matsunaga is currently playing as a midfielder for the Stallion Sta. Lucia FC team in the United Football League.
According to PEP, playing for the Stallions currently occupies most of Matsunaga’s days.
However, the Brazilian-Japanese celebrity is also a contract star for TV5. He also appears in ABS-CBN shows and does endorsements for various companies in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, PEP reveals that Matsunaga will probably be in Boracay for the Labor Day vacation. Matsunaga also said that he plans to go to Brazil soon for about three weeks to visit his family.
He also denied that anything is going on with them and Kris Bernal. When asked if Kris Bernal will be with Matsunaga’s group bound for Boracay, he said that he did not know where that question came from.
“I don't lie. If something is happening, I will tell you guys, no problem. Pero really nothing is happening between me and Kris Bernal,” he said.
