Derek Ramsay Says He's Excited To Work With Ex-Girlfriend Solenn HeussaffFresh from the finale of his hit series "Kidlat," Derek Ramsay is now looking forward to work with ex-girlfriend Solenn Heussaff.
Heussaff was Ramsay's girlfriend even before the former entered showbiz.
The hunk actor is set to do a movie with his former flame and with Kapuso star Lovi Poe.
He said it would be nice to see a different side of Heussaff, who he described as a "very talented" girl.
“It would really be nice to see this talent of Solenn because she’s really a talented girl. Everything that girl puts her hands on just turns into gold."
“So I’ve never worked with her and I’ve never seen this side of her, you know."
Personally, Ramsay saw Heussaff's talents in fashion, make up and even in prosthetics. But as for acting, the model-actor said he has yet to see Heussaff's talents.
As for Poe, Ramsay said she is a great actress and has "a lot of sex appeal."
When asked about Poe's supposed impending entrance to the Kapatid network, the model-actor refused to comment.
“I’m really looking forward [to it], sana matuloy yung project at magkatrabaho kami.”
Ramsay was also asked about Nadine Samonte, his leading lady in "Kidlat," who was rumored to be his new love interest.
“We’re still sweet, makulit pa rin kami!"
“Sinabi ko sa inyo, ayoko na sa showbiz. It’s not that... nothing against Nadine, she’s a great girl, wonderful girl, and we’re good friends."
He clarified that Samonte is seeing a non-showbiz guy, but refused to give further details.
Ramsay is happy with the way things are going for his career. He just celebrated his first year as a Kapatid star.
He is also very thankful for the success garnered by "Kidlat," which is one of the highest rating programs of TV5.
But most importantly, Ramsay is happy that Kidlat made its mark on the kids. He shared while he was in General Santos City recently, the kids were very fond of his role that he gave them his personal mobile number.
“And they all call me Kidlat! So it’s really a wonderful feeling."
When they were in Montalban, about 5,000 kids were there to greet him, Ramsay said.
“How can you beat that? I’ve never experienced anything like that in my whole career—and having five thousand kids, wow!”
But the model-actor isn't closing his doors yet on daring roles. Although he has a responsibility now since the kids look up to him, Ramsay said they are much smarter now and they know that "Kidlat" is just a role.
“I think from all the characters that I’ve portrayed, I’ve thought it through and there’s nothing negative about it."
“So, yeah, I’ve never been picky about how I choose a project."
If he has a good feeling about a script, he would do it regardless of the role, Ramsay said.
That's the same way he decides on who he is going to work with. He said it doesn't matter if he's going to be paired with a big star or with a newbie actress.
