JC De Vera Mulling Big Changes Come June, May Finally Have A ChildJC de Vera is currently thinking about decisions he will make this May which will translate to big changes in his life once June comes.
The revelation comes from the actor in an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal during a press event for his upcoming show with TV5 titled “Cassandra: Warrior Angel”.
According to de Vera, he is technically a freelance actor at the moment.
However, he is very much thankful to TV5 for offering him Cassandra even though his contract with the Kapatid network expired on March 15.
“Since naging mabait naman talaga ang TV5 sa akin, isang offer lang nila na kung puwede daw gawin ko ang Cassandra, umoo agad kami,” he told PEP.
“As long as nagbibigay pa rin sila ng mga projects na ganito, sa tingin ko… tingin ko lang, ha, mag-i-stay pa rin siguro ako dito,” he added.
However, he is very open to going either to GMA or ABS as long as the change in networks will offer him a chance to grow.
“Gusto kong mag-grow pa,” he said.
“Gusto kong matuto pa rin sa kahit anong paraan. Lilipat ba ako sa GMA uli o magta-try ako sa ABS? As long as makita kong meron akong opportunity to learn, katulad ng ginawa ng TV5 sa akin dito, iga-grab ko yun,” the actor added.
He said that TV5 has no qualms with him considering his options.
“Natanong ko na rin sa kanila, e, na if ever ba na matapos ang contract ko puwede ba akong mag-entertain ng ibang offers. Umoo naman agad sila, wala naman daw problema,” de Vera said.
However, he revealed that there are no negotiations with either GMA or ABS-CBN regarding a contract.
Apart from respect for TV5 and the continuous influx of projects for the actor, one of the reasons behind not having negotiations with the other networks is because of Annabelle Rama’s campaign in Cebu.
Rama, who is de Vera’s manager under Royal Era Entertainment, is running for a congressional seat in Cebu.
De Vera said that he is also thinking about whether to change managers. Nonetheless, he said that he is carefully considering his options.
Nonetheless, the actor said that the decisions he will be making this month will translate to big changes in June for him.
“I am hoping na merong malaki na change sa buhay ko by June,” he told PEP.
“Actually, sa buong buhay ko na ang tinitingnan ko, hindi lang sa career kasi…Kapag gumawa ako ng desisyon by end of May, whatever decision na gagawin ko this month, yun ang magiging takbo ng buong buhay ko,” he added.
“Which means, puwede na akong mag-plan for my future—like having a family, my baby, or sa business,” he said.
Nevertheless, he stressed that he is not saying he will change managers or that he is excited to change managers.
He added that he needs to decide cautiously because he needs work because of his responsibilities.
De Vera hinted, however, that he is really considering having a baby.
“Siyempre 27 years old na ako. By 30, matanda na rin yung family ko... yung parents ko matanda na rin by that time. Siyempre gusto mong magkaroon na rin ng mga apo, di ba?” he said.
