Paulo Avelino Doesn't Want To Talk About His Family With Partner LJ ReyesIt seems like Paulo Avelino doesn't want to open up about his family life--his current partner LJ Reyes and their son Ethan Akio.
Three months after he signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN on August 15, 2011, Avelino already requested not to be asked questions about his son.
He also doesn't want to comment about rumors that his partnership with Reyes is on the rocks.
Reporters said that every time Avelino is asked questions about his love life, his road manager JJ Henson would say "Huwag na 'yan huwag na 'yan."
The last time he talked about his son was when he was still with GMA-7 on July 5, 2011. Back then, he said that's where his life revolves--his work, his baby and his family.
But since then, Avelino refused to talk about his family. On April 17, 2013, during an interview with a PEP.PH staff writer, the actor just said that he spends as much time as possible with the "special people" in his life.
Usually, Avelino begs off answering the questions about his fatherhood.
“With all due respect… I've already said too much, and I just want to keep things for myself, treasure things for myself.”
But reporters were not happy with how Avelino and his road manager handled the questions about Ethan.
Although Avelino didn't say anything about his family, Henson apparently approached the reporters afterwards and asked if he can delete the footage where the actor was being asked the question.
“Ayoko ng tanong na ganun, e" was what Avelino apparently said.
Even in other events, Avelino apparently doesn't want to be asked about his son. One staff writer also stated that Henson screens the questions that will be asked to the actor before a press conference.
“Hindi dapat dinidiktahan ang reporter kung ano ang itatanong, hindi naman tayo publicist," a showbiz editor said.
“Kung ayaw niya ng tanong tungkol sa personal niyang buhay, huwag na lang magpakita sa mga events na may press at [huwag] magpa-interview.”
As of press time, Avelino has yet to answer such reports.
