Vic Sotto And Pauleen Luna Reportedly Ties The KnotIt took a while before Vic Sotto and Paulen Luna admitted the status of their romantic relationship. Months before they indirectly confirmed that they are an item, there were persistent speculations that they were exclusively dating. But in showbiz, there’s no smoke without fire. And so the subject of rumors and speculations has been proven to be true.
Now, there is another set of rumors regarding the two. According to the grapevine, Sotto and Luna have already exchanged ‘I do’s.’ According to speculations, the couple allegedly had a secret wedding in Macau. It can be recalled that the two spent their Holy Week vacation in the Chinese territory.
The two have yet to deny or confirm the reports. But if Lolit Solis’ words would be taken, she is very much sure that the two have not yet tied the knot. Solis manages Luna’s showbiz career.
According to Solis, Luna is a family-oriented woman. Solis is sure that Luna would not get married without her parents’ full consent. As it turns out, the 24-year-old Luna is still living in her parents’ house. This alone, according to Solis, would already disprove the speculations about the supposed secret wedding.
The 59-year-old Sotto disclosed last December that he is not ruling out the possibility of marrying his current girlfriend. In March, rumors about their alleged secret wedding sparked when Sotto was quoted in an interview as saying that nothing is wrong if ever he would marry Luna. For her part, the actress simply said that she does not yet see herself walking down the aisle.
Sotto used to date ‘Eat Bulaga’ co-host Pia Guanio. Their relationship lasted for about seven years but abruptly ended reportedly due to Sotto’s lack of commitment for a possible marriage. Guanio tied the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend last year.
It can be recalled that Sotto has had many relationships with his ‘Eat Bulaga’ co-hosts in the past. Among those were Chiqui Hollman-Yulo and Christine Jacob. According to observers, co-hosts who eventually become Sotto’s girlfriends eventually leave the show after their breakup. Thus, according to some, a hosting stint in the noontime show could be co-terminus with the relationship with Sotto. But Guanio was an exception to the rule as she remains a co-host of the show.
Luna, on the other hand, used to be a contestant in Little Miss Philippines, the popular beauty pageant in the show that also paved the way for Aiza Seguerra and Meryl Soriano. She started her showbiz career in ABS-CBN, where she was signed by ABS-CBN’s talent center. She assumed a hosting job in the noontime show when she transferred to GMA-7.
