Julia Montes Doesn't Close Her Doors On Enchong Dee

Julia Montes said she is not closing any doors on rekindling her friendship with rumored boyfriend Enchong Dee.

“Hindi naman nawala yung friendship... gaya ng sinasabi namin wala namang nawala, wala namang naputol... so hayun.”

Montes and Dee will be starring in ABS-CBN's new primetime teleserye "Muling Buksan Ang Puso." Because of this, the actress was asked if the series can trigger her feelings for Dee, who currently stars in "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."

They were together before in "Shooutout," but their roles in the new teleserye are quite different.

Dee recently said he is willing to rekindle his friendship with Montes again.

To this, Montes said, “Hahaha, let’s see, siyempre di ko pa alam. Wala naman din kasing nawala sa friendship, yun ang lagi kong sinasabi. Walang kailangang ibalik kasi wala namang nawala.”

They will have to wait and see if they can be close again like they were before. Montes said she remains friends with Dee although the actor was not present during her 18th birthday celebration.

She didn't think twice when the role opposite Dee was offered to her. It was even exciting for her to star in a loveteam with Dee and Enrique Gil.

Rumors said Dee and Montes ended their relationship even though the two never admitted their romantic link.

Montes, however, said she is simply focused on boosting her career than finding a love right now.

Although she is now more open to her suitors since she already turned 18 years old, Montes said she would still like to focus more on what she can do for her career.

“Kumbaga, mas focused kami sa work namin at masaya kami kasi kami ang napagkatiwalaan ng ganitong opportunity."

Her friendship with Dee and Gil will give life to the roles they are portraying for the teleserye.

They knew each other since they started working as young child stars, she said.

However, Montes admitted she feels pressured for "Muling Buksan Ang Puso" to be as phenomenal as "Walang Hanggan," the teleserye she starred in with Coco Martin.

“Siyempre for me yung pressure natural at normal na nararamdaman ko, kailangan kong matakot pag di ko nararamdaman ang pressure na yun."

“As of now nararamdaman ko pa rin yung pressure... heto bagong kasama, bagong story, panibagong story line yung tatakbuhin ng istorya. Ang daming pressure pero more of excited talaga.”

On the other hand, Montes also feels flattered for having the opportunity to work with big movie stars such as Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes.

She learned a lot from working with Roces and Fuentes, and she is looking forward to getting some acting tips from the veterans.
