Julia Montes Hopes To See Estranged German Dad On Her Debut PartySix days before her big day, Julia Montes revealed to PEP.PH that she is still hoping that her estranged German dad will be able to attend her debut.
Montes, however, revealed during her birthday press conference that it seems unlikely her father is going to be there because they haven’t heard anything from him yet.
“Siyempre, hindi pa rin naman ako nawawalan ng hope,” she added.
But she said that she will always welcome her father, no matter what chapter her life she is in.
“And at 18, mag-i-start pa lang naman yung bagong chapter ng life ko. Puwede pa naman sa next chapter,” Montes told PEP.PH.
When asked what her reaction would be if her dad suddenly shows up at her party, Montes joked that there might be a flood because of her tears.
She said that she wants to see her father even from afar. She added that there is always something missing in her life because she doesn’t spend time with her father.
“Parang siyempre, kahit ano namang achievements ko, anumang saya ng family ko, may kulang pa rin,” she revealed.
On the other hand, Montes said that she will no longer accept teenybopper roles. She said that she now enjoys giving life to mature roles despite her very young age.
She said though that she is still hesitant to do daring roles. She said that her home network, ABS-CBN, still takes care of her.
Montes said that she wants to do roles that are challenging and movies that are sensible.
When it comes to her love life, Montes said that she is just living her life and letting love take a backseat first.
“So, dito muna ako sa life, saka na yung love,” she told PEP.PH.
She said that she doesn’t expect that her two close friends, Coco Martin and Enchong Dee, will court her.
Montes said that she cannot choose between Martin and Dee because they have similar values, especially when it comes to their families.
