Zanjoe Marudo Laments Missing CannesZanjoe Marudo has expressed that he is sorry he could not go to the Cannes Film Festival where his recent film “Death March” will be screened.
The film, directed by Adolfo Alix Jr. and features the story of thousands of Filipino and American prisoners of war who were forced to walk from Mariveles, Bataan to San Fernando, Pampanga, stars Marudo, Sam Milby and Jason Abalos among others.
Marudo said in a recent press event for his upcoming television show “Annaliza” that he regrets not going to Cannes.
“Si Sam [Milby] ang pumunta. Nakakalungkot nga na hindi kami nakapunta ni Carlo,” he said.
Nonetheless, he admitted that the reason he skipped going to Cannes was his schedule which he described as busy.
Nonetheless, he said it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that he does not know if it will ever happen again.
