Arnold Clavio Criticizes Vice Ganda For His Joke On Jessica SohoGMA TV host Arnold Clavio didn't take kindly to Vice Ganda's "rape" joke on GMA-7 reporter and vice president for News and Current Affairs Jessica Soho.
On his radio show on dzBB, the broadcaster announced his dismay of Vice Ganda's joke on his colleague and boss.
“Papatulan ko na siya kasi pag di natin siya sinita, hindi natin alam sino pa’ng isusunod niyang bibiktimahin."
“Huwag mo silang kasangkapanin para lang makapagpatawa. Bakit hindi taga-diyan sa inyo ang gawin mong subject ng jokes mo? Bakit hindi taga-ABS?”
During his latest concert at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum entitled "I-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko Sa Araneta" last May 17, Vice Ganda made a "thoughtless" and "classless" joke on Soho.
In one of the segments, Vice Ganda painted scenarios of how certain personalities will act if they were "boldstars."
He said Soho's movie will be titled "Tinimbang Ka Ngunit SObra," and that a weighing scale would shout "one at a time, one at a time" every time she would step on it.
The joke that irritated Clavio and the rest of the GMA reporters was the one on "rape." Vice Ganda said that if Soho will be raped, the rapists would shout, "Ipasok and lechon!"
To which, Soho would ask, "Nasaan ang apple?"
Aside from Soho, Vice Ganda also made jokes about Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, Kim Atienza, Gus Abelgas, Aiza Seguerra and Charice Pempengco.
Aside from Clavio, other GMA reporters also tweeted their dismay of Vice Ganda's joke on Soho.
Maki Pulido, Jiggy Manicad, Mark Salazar and others all tweeted about the violence of rape, and how the stand-up comedian should have not used it on his jokes.
Vice Ganda has yet to react to their comments. Some of the tweets were directly addressed to him using his Twitter handle @vicegandako.
