Camarines Sur Governor-Elect Migz Villafuerte Wants To Finally Meet Popstar Princess Sarah GeronimoGovernor-elect Migz Villafuerte has always been vocal about his admiration for popstar princess Sarah Geronimo. Now that the elections are over, he has at least a month before he takes his seat as the new governor of Camarines Sur.
But instead of psyching himself up for this new challenge in life, it looks like the young US-educated governor may want to pursue another track in his life--his love life. Villafuerte said he wants to meet Geronimo before he gets too busy with his political career by July.
"Hinahangaan ko po talaga at gusto kong makilala dati pa ay si Sarah Geronimo. Ngayon pong libre po ako, may oras po ako, sana po magkakilala po kami."
The 24-year-old Villafuerte, who beat his grandfather in the gubernatorial race, once sent a bouquet of flowers to the popstar in 2011.
However, he denied that he tried to court her then since they haven't really met in person. Villafuerte said he wants to meet and be friends with her first.
During his guesting stints on "The Bottomline" and "Kris TV," he asked Boy Abunda and Kris Aquino if they can introduce him to Geronimo. Aquino said though she isn't that close with the popstar. She advised the young governor to woo Mommy Divine, Geronimo's mother, first.
His father, LRay Villafuerte, told Aquino that all his son has to do is give him the go signal and he will text Mommy Divine. He revealed that he and Mommy Divine have been text mates ever since.
Mommy Divine told the young governor, through his father, that he shouldn't lose hope if he really likes her daughter.
During the "fast talk" segment of "The Bottomline," Villafuerte revealed that he wants someone who is wise, talented and a singer--descriptions that perfectly fit Geronimo.
Asked for his message to Mommy Divine, Villafuerte said: "Hi Mommy... Divine."
