Paolo Onesa's "Skyfall" Is Number One On ITunes
He was able to prove he deserved that slot on the next round of the singing reality competition by putting to number one his rendition of Adele's "Skyfall" during the September 8 (Sunday) Live Shows.
Onesa beat early favorite Lee Grane Maranan, who is also from Bamboo's team. As a coach, Bamboo is entitled to also give scores to Onesa and Maranan. Surprisingly, he gave 60 percent to Onesa and 40 percent to Maranan.
It equaled to 50 percent of the total votes. Other than the coach's decision, another 50 percent came from the public votes. Onesa got more than 81 percent of the public vote while Maranan only got about 17 percent.
"Skyfall," Adele's Academy Award winning piece, is the theme song of the James Bond movie of the same title. It didn't top iTunes at first since Darryl Shy's version of "Balita" got that spot. However, a few hours after, Onesa's song was the most downloaded ahead of Katy Perry's "Roar" and Patti Austin's "If I Believed."
Other songs in the top 12 list are: "Atlas" by Coldplay, "We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus, "All Behind Us Now" by Patti Austin, "Just Give Me A Reason" by Pink, "Say You Love Me" by Patti Austin, "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, "Treasure" by Bruno Mars, "Applause" by Lady Gaga and "Losing My Religion" by Lee Grane Maranan.
Shy's "Balita" was noticeably not in the top list anymore.
