Ryan Agoncillo Stars In "Ano Ang Kulay Nga Mga Nakalimutang Pangarap?"

While Ryan Agoncillo is still bidding his time in deciding what contract to sign (whether from ABS-CBN, GMA-7 or TV5), he will be busy preparing to promote his new movie "Ano Ang Kulay Ng Mga Nakalimutang Pangarap?"

The movie, which was directed by Joey Reyes, tells a story of a "yaya" (housemaid) who gave all her dreams away to take care of a family that is not her own. Here, Agoncillo (the younger brother of the roles of Jackie Lou Blanco and Bobby Andrews) comes home to the Philippines to take care of some problems the household encountered. Among these problems is their aging Yaya Teresa (Rustica Carpio).

It is a family drama that will look into what happens to the servants who spent their years with a family they cannot call their own.

Asked if he is now a dramatic actor, Agoncillo joked it would be more correct to just tag him as an "actor" because having that "dramatic" term will put more pressure on him.

The actor-TV host said it's such an honor to work with Carpio who has been a veteran in the industry already. Carpio plays the lead role in the movie.

The first thing he noticed about Carpio is how soft her hands were, Agoncillo said. They have many scenes together and that's why he was able to notice such small things.

Meanwhile, Agoncillo revealed Reyes is very excited about the film because it's his most personal creation yet. When they were filming "My Househusband," the director was already telling Agoncillo and his wife Judy Ann Santos about the plot of the story. He was very emotional in making the film, the actor-TV host said.

"So, I hope it translates yung aming pinagdaanan sa set. Sana mag-translate doon sa kuwento."

When he was further prodded about the film, Agoncillo noted that it's in the culture of Filipinos to have "yayas" who took care of them from since they were little. And yet, there are questions that Filipinos refuse to face when it comes to their "yayas" or "little angels," as Agoncillo called them.

In this film, Reyes hopes to address these questions and answer each one of them.

"Ano Ang Kulay Ng Mga Nakalimutang Pangarap?" is graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board. It also stars Kim Rodriguez (as the young Yaya Teresa) and Alwyn Uytingco as the boyfriend of the young Teresa. Ruby Ruiz, Chynna Ortaleza, Madeleine Nicolas, David Chua, Kalila Aguilos and Roli Inocencio also joined the film.

The movie was produced by Largavista Entertainment and the Film Development Council of the Philippines with support from GMA Network and SM Cinemas. The film will be exclusively shown in SM Cinemas.
