"The Voice Of The Philippines" Top 8 Battle It Out This WeekendThe four coaches and the public have chosen the singing reality show's top eight contestants. Now, they are set to fire up the stage this weekend (September 21 and 22) to reach the finale on September 29.
The two remaining artists for each of the coaches' team will battle it out this Saturday and Sunday for a chance to be included in the hit reality singing contest's final four. Just like in last week's Live Shows, the coaches and the public have an equal say as to who will stay in the contest. Fifty percent of the total score will come from the contestant's respective coach while the remaining 50% will be determined by the public votes.
The total score will determine who will fight it out on September 29 (Sunday).
Team Apl will see Thor Dulay and Janice Javier battling it out. Their years of professional experiences are slated to play on stage, but will Thor's soothing voice or Janice's high range win the hearts of the public and their coach Apl?
Divas Morissette Amon and Klarisse de Guzman will fight it off in Team Sarah. Klarisse was Sarah's old rival on "Star for a Night" while Morissette was an up and coming stage performer doing local versions of Disney's classic songs. Both are young and passionate about their craft, but who will be deserving of that "The Voice of the Philippines" crown?
In Team Bamboo, it will be a competition between Paulo Onesa's ballads and Myk Perez's versatility. Both have proven to win the hearts of the public as they have been topping the votes since the Live Shows started. But this weekend, only one will remain as Kamp Kawayan's representative to the finals.
The big voices of Mitoy Yonting and Radha will dominate the competition in Team Lea. Both have been professionals for years, and this is their shot to fame, but who will emerge victorious? Mitoy has been inconsistent in votes while it seems that Radha has yet to capture the audience.
"The Voice of the Philippines" airs every Saturday at 9 p.m. and every Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on ABS-CBN.
