"The Voice Of The Philippines" Airs Grand Finals This Sunday (September 29)The first "The Voice of the Philippines" will officially be crowned on September 29 (Sunday) after the top four battle it out in the toughest singing competition in the country.
The reality singing contest has proven time and again its popularity with the public as it continues to be the top trending topic on social networking sites every Saturday and Sunday night. The grand finale is set to be staged at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.
Four contestants--one from each team--will battle for the chance to win P2 million and a recording contract. The four contestants are Janice Javier from Team Apl, Klarisse de Guzman from Team Sarah, Myk Perez from Team Bamboo and Mitoy Yonting from Team Lea.
The outcome of the finals will be determined solely by the public votes, unlike the previous weeks where the coaches have their say. The two-day finale will showcase the contestants' singing prowess and will test their level of competitiveness.
Viewers can vote through text, online, mobile and iTunes downloads. Voting lines will be opened on Saturday during the show and will be closed again after the show. It will reopen on Sunday's episode until the grand winner is announced.
The top two artists who will be getting the highest number of votes will compete in the final showdown on Sunday. ABS-CBN reminded voters that it will impose a one-vote, one SIM card per artist a day policy.
Their scores will return to zero after their names were called. The winner of the next stage of voting will emerge as the first "The Voice of the Philippines."
Aside from P2 million and a four-year contract with MCA Universal, the winner of the contest will also get a new car an Asian tour package for two.
"The Voice of the Philippines" airs every Saturday at 9PM and every Sunday at 8:15PM.
