ABS-CBN Brings "Dyesebel" Again On TelevisionABS-CBN has just confirmed that they will re-produce the fantaserye "Dyesebel," one of the most celebrated works of the iconic Mars Ravelo. The Kapamilya network started airing teasers of the said series, which will air during the first quarter of 2014.
"Mula sa karagatan, aahon muli ang kanyang pangalan," the teaser, which as aired on Primetime Bida, said.
GMA-7 first did an adaptation of the series, starring real-life couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes. It instantly became a hit because of the Marian-Dingdong tandem.
This year, ABS-CBN closed the deal that will give them the rights to remake 13 of Mars' titles, including Dyesebel, Darna and Captain Barbell.
The network even commissioned a survey to get to know the public pulse when it comes to the celebrities they want for the roles of "Darna" and "Dyesebel." Angel Locsin was originally slated to play the role of "Dyesebel" but the network just confirmed that she will be playing "Darna" for a movie under Star Cinema.
This puts Angel out of the equation for "Dyesebel." Now, people are speculating about who will play the role of the mermaid. Among those being tapped are Anne Curtis, Erich Gonzales, Shaina Magdayao, Maja Salvador and Kristine Hermosa.
ABS-CBN is yet to reveal the name of the actress who will play the titular role. The actor who will play Dyesebel's lover, Fredo, has also not been revealed.
Dreamscape Entertainment will produce the fantaserye. This is the same production company behind such successful teleseryes like "Walang Hanggan."
