The movie opened in cinemas last Wednesday. Star Cinema's Mico del Rosario posted on Instagram that the movie already earned P100 million in three days.
The movie tells the story of Ginny (Toni), a student who fell in love with his professor, Marco (Piolo). Eventually, they ended up together until Ginny decided to leave Marco behind.
When she came back, Marco is already in a relationship with someone else. Can Ginny take back what she did? Will Marco finally be able to forgive her for leaving him?
"Starting Over Again" is the latest film from Star Cinema that breached the P100-million mark. On its opening day, it earned P25 million, so its box office success was already a given fact.
On video sharing network YouTube, the trailer for the movie has over three million views and hundreds of positive reviews from those who have already seen the film.
So far, Star Cinema's biggest success of this year was Kim Chiu's and Xian Lim's "Bride For Rent," which grossed P325 million. It will not be a surprise if "Starting Over Again" will surpass that.
This is also a movie that will surely be Toni's and Piolo's most successful movie together.
"Starting Over Again" is now showing in more than 200 cinemas nationwide.
