"Ipaglaban Mo" To Air Again On June 7ABS-CBN's hit legal drama "Ipaglaban Mo" will air again on the network starting on June 7 (Saturday). Atty. Jose Sison, with his son Jopet, will empower Filipinos with knowledge of their legal rights and obligations.
The legal drama anthology was one of the top-rating and longest-running programs in television back in the 1990s. The program dramatizes real-life events. It captivated viewers, especially the part wherein Atty. Sison gives legal advice to the viewers.
The phrase, "Kapag may katwiran, ipaglaban mo!" also became popular that most people still use it nowadays.
In his column in a national broadsheet, Atty. Sison expressed hopes that the show will gain ratings. "Hopefully it will become a hit once more so that a lot more of our countrymen will be educated."
The weekly episode of "Ipaglaban Mo" will be under the direction of Congressman Lino Cayetano, Eric Quizon, Ricky Rivero, Rechie del Carmen, Erik Salud and Manny Palo.
The pilot episode will air on Saturday, June 7. It's entitled "Hindi Ko Sinasadya Yaya." It tackles the legal obligation of the seven-year-old "RJ" (Izzy Canillo) who accidentally shot dead his nanny "Yaya Miling" (Shamaine Buencamino).
"Micmic" (Michelle Vito), Yaya Miling's only child, will seek justice for her mother. But how can she win her legal battle since the accused was a minor and the crime was just an accident?
Aside from Izzy, Shamaine and Michelle, the pilot episode will also star Lara Quigaman, James Blanco and Dionne Monsanto.
