Zanjoe Marudo And Pokwang Star In "My Illegal Wife"Zanjoe Marudo and Pokwang are set to bring laughter to the viewing public as Skylifht Films bring "My Illegal Wife" to theaters nationwide this June 11.
Both stars are considered to be the king and queen of Skylight Films because of the success of their movies in 2013. Zanjoe starred in Wenn Deramas' "Bromance" where he played dual roles (one of them was gay) while Pokwang was the crazy mother in Don Cuaresma's "Call Center Girl," which also starred Jessy Mendiola.
"Bromance" and "Call Center Girl" both received nods from critics, as well as moviegoers who made sure the films topped the blockbuster list.
After "Cinco," Zanjoe and Pokwang reunited for "My Illegal Wife," the title of which is already a spoof of ABS-CBN's top-rating teleserye "The Legal Wife" starring Angel Locsin, Maja Salvador and Jericho Rosales.
Directed by Tony Reyes, who's also behind Star Cinema's "Enteng Ng Ina Mo" (2012), "My Illegal Wife" tells the story of loving single mom Clarise (Pokwang) who will do everything to make her family happy even if it means that she has to trick Papa Henry (Zanjoe), a hunk suffering from amnesia, that he is married to her.
Not only is "My Illegal Wife" a comedy that will make the entire family laugh, it is also a heart-warming story that will test the limits of true and everlasting love.
Moviegoers will surely love the rapport between Zanjoe and Pokwang as they dare to take on the blockbuster records again.
Other stars in "My Illegal Wife" are Empoy Marquez, Joy Viado, Pooh, Edgar Allan Guzman, Beauty Gonzalez and Ms. Anita Linda along with up and coming stars Mikylla Ramirez, Steven De Guzman and Ellen Adarna.
