ABS-CBN Announces Five New ShowsThe Kapamilya network revealed a lineup of powerhouse shows starring top-caliber artists, as well as ex-Pinoy Big Brother housemates and "The Voice Kids" grand champion.
The shows were unveiled during the Kapamilya All Out trade concert, which featured performances from Lyca Gairanod and Daniel Matsunaga, among others.
These are the five upcoming shows of ABS-CBN: "Forevermore," "Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita," "Nathaniel," "I Do," and "The Voice of the Philippines Season 2."
"Forevermore" will star Kapamilya stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. The primetime teleserye is about a rich young man (Enrique) who falls in love with a simple farm girl (Liza). Lilet, an 80s singer, plays the mother of Enrique's character.
The teaser was aired during the event. It showed the beautiful scenery of the rice terraces. Enrique was seen driving a top-down car along the winding road while Liza picks strawberries in the farm.
"Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita" will feature three contestants of the just-concluded "Pinoy Big Brother All In." These are Jane Oineza, Loisa Andalio and Joshua Garcia. Jane, the PBB third placer, has been acting since she was four years old as part of the kiddie gag show "Goin' Bulilit."
She was also included in Star Magic Circle 2013. She was nominated as Best Actress at the 2013 New York Festival for her portrayal of a rape victim in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
In the teleserye, Loisa will play a very quiet girl who loves her mom (Vina Morales) so much. Joshua will play her bestfriend who's in love with Jane's character.
The teleserye will tell the story of a girl searching for her father. Others starring in the teleserye are Denise Laurel and Christian Vasquez. Marco Gumabao is also slated to become a part of the series.
"Nathaniel," on the other hand, will feature "The Voice Kids" grand winner, Lyca. It tells the story of a young boy (to be announced) with a supernatural ability to promote goodness.
The series cast will include Gerald Anderson, Shaina Magdayao, Pokwang, Benjie Paras, Ogie Diaz, Jairus Aquino, Sharlene San Pedro, and Jason Gainza. PBB twins Fourth and Fifth Pagotan will also be a part of the teleserye.
"I Do," which already started airing over the weekend, features nine couples competing for the ultimate goal of having their dream wedding. The grand winner will take home a wedding package, a house and lot, and a cash prize of P1 million.
Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo will host the show together with Jason Gainza.
"The Voice of the Philippines Season 2" will come back in September after the finale of "The Voice Kids." Coaches Bamboo Manalac, Sarah Geronimo and Lea Salonga will be back as coaches-mentors.
The show has yet to announce whether Season 1 coach and international artist Apl.de.Ap or Allan Pineda will be a part of the program.
