"That Thing Called Tadhana" Holds Successful Premiere Night

Stars attended the premiere night of Angelica Panganiban's and JM de Guzman's movie entitled "That Thing Called Tadhana" at the SM Megamall Cinema 7 last February 3.

Although John Lloyd Cruz, Angelica's boyfriend wasn't able to attend the premiere because he was taping for "Home Sweetie Home," Angelica was glad that a lot of her showbiz friends showed their support for her.

Those who attended the premiere were Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo, Pokwang, Cherry Pie Picache, Ryan Bang, Jason Gainza and the actress' best friend John Prats. Deo Edrinal, ABS-CBN executive, also attended the premiere.

Kapuso royalties Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera also attended the premiere.

Angelica said she is very thankful to those who supported her movie. She expressed her happiness that they were there with her during the premiere.

She is also confident that viewers will appreciate the theme of the movie, and that they will be able to relate to it. They are overwhelmed with the support they are getting from their friends in showbiz. They also didn't think Star Cinema would distribute the movie, so that others will have the chance to watch it, too.

"That Thing Called Tadhana" is a part of the 2014 Cinema One Originals Film Fest, from where Angelica won as Best Actress.

She was surprised with how the audience responded to the movie. Some of them laughed at the right scenes while others didn't. It feels different to watch the movie with the general viewers.

The movie is very easy-going, Angelica said, adding that it has an open-ended ending. She liked how it ended because there is so much hope from losing someone.

She's been part of the industry for long that Angelica doesn't care anymore if she's doing an independent movie or a mainstream one. What matters to her is the material of the movie.
