Charo Santos-Concio Denies Reports Of Willie Revillame's Return To ABS-CBNCharo Santos-Concio, president and chief executive officer of ABS-CBN, finally denied rumors that Willie Revillame will be returning to the Kapamilya network.
About two weeks ago, reports started coming out that Revillame will come back to the network since his contract with TV5 will expire in September.
The news spread after Revillame joined Gina Lopez, Bantay Kalikasan managing director and sister of ABS-CBN chairman Gabby Lopez, in an out-of-town vacation.
But Santos-Concio was quick to dismiss the rumors.
"That's not true. We're not in talks with Willie Revillame. We're very happy with the ratings of [It's] Showtime. We're very happy with Showtime."
"It's Showtime" is ABS-CBN's noontime show. It has been receiving generally higher ratings than Revillame's "Wowowillie" and even top noontime show "Eat Bulaga."
In 2010, Revillame left the Kapamilya network even though his contract hasn't expired yet.
