Chris Brown Checks Self Into Rehab For Anger ManagementAfter being charged for punching a man who tried to pose in a photo with him, beleaguered singer Chris Brown has checked himself into rehab for anger management.
According to a report from the Agence France-Presse, a spokesman for Brown revealed on Wednesday that the singer has entered a clinic in Malibu in connection to his altercation in Washington.
“Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility,” the AFP quotes spokesman as saying. “His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”
Brown, who is still currently in probation for assaulting his former girlfriend and fellow international singer Rihanna in 2009, was charged recently charged with felony assault.
However, Brown’s charge was reduced to a misdemeanor by the District of Columbia judge handling the case which allowed the singer to be released.
A certain Parker Isaac Adams of Beltsville, Maryland said that Brown and his bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, punched him after he tried to take a photo with the singer and two women.
Brown reportedly said, “I ain't down with that gay s***t" and "I feel like boxing" before punching the man.
Meanwhile, the AFP is also reporting that even though no definite length of stay in the rehab clinic was revealed by Brown’s camp, the singer may stay there for up to three months.
