Hugh Jackman Treated For Skin CancerThe Wolverine has revealed that he has gotten treatment for skin cancer.
In a post on social image sharing site Instagram, Hugh Jackman released a photo showing him with a bandaged nose.
In the caption, he wrote: “Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a [basal] cell carcinoma.”
The 45-year-old actor was referring to wife Deborra-Lee Furness who told him to have a checkup. Basal cell carcinoma are cancer cells that grow on the skin.
Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actor enjoined fans to not be foolish like him and get a checkup if they saw anything unusual with their skin.
“And USE sunscreen!!!” he added.
According to reports, representatives of Jackman had no updates about the Hollywood A-Lister’s condition.
It seems he is fine, however, as he still can post on Instagram.
WebMD says that basal cell carcinoma is the most frequent form of skin cancer. It also said that these cancerous cells usually do not spread but if left untreated, will deform the part of the skin they are on.
