Jessica Sanchez To Star As Frida Romero In GleeJessica Sanchez will be starring as Frida Romero in the hit American television show Glee.
“I’m a student of Indiana High School, and I’m with Hoosierdaddies and I’m in the regional competitions,” Sanchez told the FilAm in an exclusive interview at the Lake Grove in Long Island, New York where Sanchez launched her debut album.
The Hoosierdaddies, which will have Romero as their lead singer, will be offering tough competition for the William McKinley High School New Directions glee club.
Sanchez is the newest actress with Filipino blood to star in Glee. Recently, Filipino international singing sensation Charice Pempengco also starred in the show for a season.
Pempengco’s character has since been written off from Glee.
According to Sanchez, she had so much fun working with the people behind the television show.
“So much fun. I met Naya Rivera and all the rest of the cast, they’re so amazing, so nice,” she said.
Meanwhile, Sanchez also revealed that she has split with fellow “American Idol” alum DeAndre Brackensick.
However, she said that she did not write any song about Brackensick for her debut album “Me, You and the Music”, an obvious reference to Taylor Swift who is notorious for writing songs about her past love interests.
“I didn’t write any song [about DeAndre],” she said. “It’s whatever. Nothing big. Nothing bad. So no songs dedicated to him.”
Sanchez also expressed how much she likes in it the Philippines.
“I had so much support from the Filipino crowd and the Latin crowd. Going to the Philippines was insane. I am like J. Lo over there!” the singer and now actress told The Associated Press for a report.
