"Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?" Grosses P92.66 Million In 12 Days

Kim Chiu's and Xian Lim's first movie tandem "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?" earned P92.66 million in just 12 days, according to Box Office Mojo.

It proved that the romantic-comedy film is doing quite well in the box office as it almost reached the P100-million threshold in under two weeks. The movie is slated to hit the hundred-million mark in the coming days. If ever, it will be the third film this year to breach that mark.

The movie was based on the book of the same title that was written by Ramon Bautista, the self-proclaimed Internet action star who popularized terms such as "friendzone" and "like a pogi."

It tells the story about an ugly duckling (Chiu) and her handsome, successful boss (Lim).

On the other hand, another Pinoy film is doing quite well in the box office. "Raketeros," starring Mayor Herbert Bautista, Ogie Alcasid, Dennis Padilla, Andrew E. and Long Mejia, got an initial P4.6 million during the first five days of showing. It was produced by Heaven's Best, but distributed by Star Cinema.

As of August 11, the highest-grossing Pinoy films for 2013 are: "It Takes A Man and A Woman" (P375.02 million), "Four Sisters and A Wedding" (P145 million), "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?"
