"She's The One" Earns P95.8 Million In Two Weeks

Star Cinema's "She's The One," which stars Dingdong Dantes, Enrique Gil and Bea Alonzo, grosses P95.8 million in just two weeks.

Third party tabulator Box Office Mojo based this figure on the period from October 23 to 27. Bea and Dingdong said they're very happy with the success of the movie while Enrique said he's very grateful for being part of the film.

So far, the movie just became the fourth biggest film this year since it is on track to reach the P100-million mark.

The romantic comedy just bested three other films namely, "Captain Phillips," "The Family" and "Don Jon."

According to the same tabulator, the top 10 movies in the Philippines from October 23 to 27 (Wednesday to Sunday) are: "She's The One" (P28.5 million), "Captain Phillips" (P17.4 million), "Carrie" (P11.5 million), "Gravity" (P3.7 million), "Escape Plan" (P2 million), "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" (P1.5 million), "The Family" (P1.2 million), "Don Jon" (P1.1 million), "Getaway" (P598,967) and "Insidious Chapter 2" (P55,983).

It should be noted that some of these movies have been running for almost six weeks. "Insidious Chapter 2," for example, has grossed P112.4 million in six weeks.

So far, the highest grossing Pinoy films this year are: "It Takes A Man And A Woman" (P375 million), "Four Sisters and a Wedding" (P145 million), "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?" (P102.36 million), "She's The One" (P95.8 million), "Bromance: My Brother's Romance" (P72.67 million), "A Moment in Time" (P64.54 million), "Must Be Love" (P60.74 million), "Momzillas" (P55.2 million), "Kung Fu Divas" (P32.7 million), "Tuhog" (24.68 million), "My Lady Boss" (P19.4 million), "On The Job" (P11.7 million), "The Bride and the Lover" (P10.39 million), "Raketeros" (P4.6 million) and "Alagwa" (P1.89 million).

Other movies in the list are "Ang Huling Henya," "Ekstra," "Seduction," "The Fighting Chefs" and "Juana C The Movie."

As for Hollywood films, the highest-grossing in the country are: "Iron Man 3" (P631.48 million), "Man of Steel" (P388.56 million), "Fast & Furious 6" (P258.6 million), "Despicable Me 2" (P231.28 million), "World War Z" (P208.17 million), "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" (P187 million), "The Wolverine" (P176.3 million), "Pacific Rim" (P168.83 million), "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" (P142 million) and "Jack the Giant Slayer" (P126.61 million).
