In a report on February 23 by Leonard Klady, he said that Bollywood newcomer "Highway" earned $319,000 while "Starting Over Again" was "boffo" with $650,000 gross.
"Boffo" is an informal term for "very good."
Klady is the co-founder and contributor of the website. He is also a member of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and he has been a staff writer, critic, columnist for publications such as the Los Angeles Times and Variety.
"Starting Over Again" is about a couple who has yet to find closure after years of being separated. Toni stars as Ginny while Piolo plays the character of Marco.
In the Philippines, the movie already earned P300 million in a span of 12 days, according to Mico del Rosario, Star Cinema's AdProm manager.
The film also bested the personal box-office records of Piolo, Toni, Iza Calzado and director Olivia Lamasan.
During a press conference, each of the stars was asked how important is closure for them. Piolo said it's a case-to-case basis and that it depends how the couple broke up.
"If it's a friendly breakup, there should be closure. But sometimes, it takes time to heal and in any relationship, it's really important to have that."
For Iza, closure is very important because it gives a person the freedom to love again. "As long as may galit ka, as long as you feel something for the person, even if you still feel irritated by the thought of your ex, there might still be something there."
The minute that a person becomes apathetic to his/her ex then that's the time that he/she really has a closure, Iza said.
But in the actress' sake, she said that there is always love from her for her ex-boyfriends. She believes one can never truly unlove another person, especially if there's history there.
"Starting Over Again" is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
