"Maybe This Time" Reaches P100-Million MarkThe first teamup of Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin reached the P100-million mark already. It is a certified blockbuster hit.
This figure was announced by Star Cinema's Ad Prom manager Mico del Rosario on June 4 on his Instagram account. He congratulated the team behind "Maybe This Time" for hitting the P100-million mark.
"Maybe This Time" premiered on May 28, or one week ago. The film was co-produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films. Star Magic handles Coco's career while Sarah has always been a Viva baby.
"Maybe This Time" is a story about a simple city girl named Steph (Sarah) and a small town boy named Tonio (Coco). They fell in love, but separated because of familial duties and career decisions.
They crossed paths again seven years later--when Steph is working for sophisticated PR boss (Ruffa Gutierrez) who wants her to handle a client--Tonio. The catch here is: Tonio is now Monica's (Ruffa) boyfriend.
"Maybe This Time" will premiere in the US in 35 theaters on June 6. States such as Washington, California, Nevada, Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Florida and Hawaii will get to enjoy the onscreen chemistry of Sarah and Coco.
On June 6 as well, screening in Canada will happen in 12 theaters, including in the cities of Montreal, Ottawa, Scarborough, Toronto, Mississauga, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Surrey, Vancouver, Saskatoon and Regina.
Later this month, international screening will open in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Greece, Ireland, Norway, France, United Kingdom, Qatar, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
