There has been rumors in the past that the John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo starrer won't be able to beat "Sisterakas" as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.
But records released said that "It Takes A Man And A Woman" already received P400.61 million in profit compared to 2012's "Sisterakas," which got P391.4 million.
The top five highest grossing films in the country were all produced by Star Cinema, with the first four being co-produced with Viva Films.
Aside from "It Takes A Man And A Woman" (2013) and "Sisterakas" (2012), other films who topped the list are (in order): "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin" (P329.46 million), "No Other Woman" (P278.39 million), "The Mistress" (P262.82 million), "This Guy's In Love With U Mare" (P249.09 million), "You Changed My Life" (P225.21 million), "A Very Special Love" (P179.24 million), "Unofficially Yours" (P157.25 million), "One More Chance" (P152.78 million); "My Amnesia Girl" (P144.82 million), "Miss You Like Crazy" (P142.97 million), "A Love Story" (P139.63 million), "Caregiver" (P139.53 million), "In My Life" (P135.74 million) and "Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kyeme" (P133.96 million).
