"Ina, Kapatid, Anak" Posted A Rating Of 42.9% During Its Final EpisodeABS-CBN's primetime series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" ended its eight month-long run on June 14, wherein it posted a staggering 42.9% rating based on nationwide survey of Kantar Media TNS among rural and urban households.
Its rival program on GMA-7, "My Husband's Lover", just began its pilot week. It posted a rating of 15.7%, way below the rating garnered by "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."
"My Husband's Lover" stars Tom Rodriguez, Carla Abellana and Dennis Trillo. In the teleserye, Abellana and Rodriguez will play husband and wife while Trillo is Rodriguez's mistress.
In the Mega Manila household rating, AGB Nielsen reported that "Ina, Kapatid, Anak's" final episode got 32%. It is apparently the most watched television program that day. AGB Nielsen said "My Husband's Lover" got a 24.9% rating on June 14 (Friday).
In the final episode of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," it was shown that Diego (Alex Medina) and Mio (John Regala) both died during the confrontation. Because of this, the Marasigan and Apolinario families finally got the peace they wanted.
Lucas Elizalde (Eddie Gutierrez) was imprisoned as penance for the wrongdoings he committed against Teresa (Cherry Pie Picache), Zac (Ronaldo Valdez) and even his own granddaughters, Celyn (Kim Chiu) and Margaux (Maja Salvador).
Fast forward to the future and Celyn and Margaux were seen giving birth to their own daughters at the same time. Celyn married Liam (Xian Lim) while Margaux got back together with Ethan (Enchong Dee).
Much of the high ratings of "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" are associated with the real-life drama between Chiu and Salvador.
Salvador is now dating Gerald Anderson, Chiu's ex-boyfriend. The two actresses used to be bestfriends until Anderson courted Salvador.
