"The Voice Of The Philippines" Proves Mettle Through Ratings

By garnering a national TV rating of 30.2% or 18 points higher than its rival, ABS-CBN's "The Voice Of The Philippines" is proving that it is currently the most-watched reality show in television.

Its unique Blind Auditions is surely capturing the attention of television viewers as it continues to tramp on the ratings of rival, GMA's Celebrity Bluff, which only got 12.1% during the same day.

It also helps that the show is topbilled by some of the most sought-after local and international singers such as Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Apl de Ap and Lea Salonga. During its pilot episode, where the four judges performed, it garnered a rating of 30.2% followed by 27.7% on Sunday.

"The Voice Of The Philippines" has effectively beaten "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," which only got 22%.

Also, hashtags relating to the show trended nationwide on both Facebook and Twitter. Netizens shared their thoughts about the contestants and about the mentors-judges.

Seven artists have already made it through the first round--Cora Dela Cruz and Thor Dulay (Team Apl); Darryl Shy, Chien Berbana and Taw Muhammad (Team Lea); Junji Arias (Team Sarah); and Deb Victa (Team Bamboo).

Before the Battle Rounds, the mentors-judges would have to complete their 12-member teams.

"The Voice Of The Philippines" airs every Saturday at 9PM and every Sunday at 8:15PM.
