"Forevermore" Premieres On Top

Enrique Gil's and Liza Soberano's "Forevermore" was the number one teleserye as proven by the rating of 27.1 percent when it premiered on October 27 (Monday).

This is the first series of Enrique and Liza together, although they were paired in the movie "She's The One" before with Dingdong Dantes and Bea Alonzo.

"Forevermore" replaced the primetime spot vacated by "Ikaw Lamang."

Based on Kantar Media, the pilot episode of "Forevermore" ranked second only to "TV Patrol" in the most-watched programs nationwide on October 27.

Its rival, GMA-7's "Hiram Na Alaala," only got 12.8 percent rating.

The premiere of "Forevermore," which is directed by box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina and Ted Boborol, became the hottest topic online, taking six of the 10 trending topics on Twitter.

The hashtags that trended worldwide were the official hashtag #ForevermoreBegins, #EnriqueGil, #LizaSoberano, #Enrique, #Liza and #Quen. Direk Cathy and "Si Yves" trended on Twitter Philippines.

"Forevermore" tells the story of Xander's (Enrique) and Agnes' (Liza) first love. They are two different people--Xander is a rebellious son of a hotel magnate while Agnes is a simple, hardworking Strawberry Jam Queen of Benguet--who fell in love despite their huge social gap.

The series is produced by Star Creatives, the same group behind the romantic-comedy-drama series "Princess and I" and "Got To Believe" that starred teen royalties Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. Enrique also starred as Jao in "Princess and I."

"Forevermore" airs weeknights after Piolo Pascual's "Hawak Kamay."
