Kris TvKris TV started last June 27, 2011 on the biggest network in the Philippines, ABS-CBN.
Kris TV is aired every morning (from Monday to Friday) and specially directed as a lifestyle talk show. It is hosted by Kris Aquino who is dubbed as the “Queen of All Media” and “Queen of All Talks”.
Sometimes she is also considered as the “Queen of Advertisement” because of the above average number of her endorsements in media. Kris Aquino previously had similar talk shows like Boy & Kris and Today with Kris Aquino. After almost a year when Kris TV started, the timeslot of the show is moved to an earlier schedule, 8:00-9:00 AM.
Kris TV concentrates on tackling issues that involve husbands and housewives. But this does not limit the topics being discussed each day in the show. There is also a segment during the show when the special guest will interact with the live audiences. Sometimes, the special guest will be asked to perform a special number depending upon the guest’s preference. It might be singing, dancing, or playing various instruments.
The program being shown from Monday to Thursday is recorded in a studio. But during Friday show, Kris will step out from the studio and meet different popular personalities and interview them. This may happen in the guest’s house, which is almost always the case, or outdoor setting.
Just like what was said before, Kris Aquino is the primary host and rightfully named the show after her. But there are other co-hosts that show up occasionally. These are Myrtle Sarrosa, Chiz Escudero, Daniel Matsunaga, Slater Young, Pooh, John Lapus, KC Concepcion, Pokwang, Iza Calzado, Jason Francisco, Melai Cantiveros, and Toni Gonzaga.
Kris TV is a recipient of two notable awards from PMPC Star Awards for Television. The show is awarded “Best Celebrity & Showbiz-Oriented Talk Show” and Kris Aquino winning “Best Female Celebrity & Showbiz-Oriented Talk Show Host”.
The format of Kris TV is lifestyle talk show. The show is written by Arah Sepeña, JC Ruby, Marc Edward Noveloso with the direction of Erick C. Salud, Pinggoy Generoso, and Ritchie Garcia. The theme music is composed by Annabelle Regalado-Borja. The executive producer is Jasmine Paliera while the producers are Elaine Marie Garcia, James Lado, Ryan Madrigalejo,
