As of March 31, 2020, Department of Health confirmed the 538 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. It is the largest number of new cases in a day so far.
The Philippines total number of cases jumps to 2,084. The DOH also confirmed that there are 10 new patients died from the virus raising the death toll to 88.
President Rodrigo Duterte grants himself 30 special powers to address the corona virus outbreak by signing the Republic Act No. 11469. The lock down in Luzon and Metro Manila will last until April 12 ans April 14 respectively. But this lock down will still depend on the situation. It can be lifted earlier or extended.
