The hit primetime series “Pamilya Sagrado” is about to get even more explosive as Kapamilya action king Coco Martin joins the directorial team. Known for his high-octane action sequences in “Batang Quiapo,” Martin is bringing his expertise to create some of the most thrilling scenes yet in the ongoing drama.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Martin confirmed his involvement in the show. Dreamscape Entertainment approached him to direct some of its most intense scenes, recognizing his expertise. As a token of his respect for the late Deo Endrinal, a key figure behind the series, Martin couldn’t say no.
“It was a quick ‘yes’ from Martin. “All of us at ‘Batang Quiapo’ were more than happy to help, especially for Sir Deo. It’s an honor to direct such seasoned actors like Kuya PJ and the rest of the cast.
Bringing the “Batang Quiapo” Team to “Pamilya Sagrado”
Bringing along his trusted team from “Batang Quiapo,” Martin ensured that the action sequences in “Pamilya Sagrado” would be top-notch. “Dinala ko nga yung buong team ng ‘Batang Quiapo’ para sabi ko nga, siguraduhin natin na maganda yung magagawa natin para mas makatulong pa sa show kasi maganda yung programa,” he said.
Directing “Pamilya Sagrado” brought its own set of challenges, including last-minute changes and the search for perfect locations. Despite these obstacles, Martin remained determined to make each scene count. He focused on ensuring that the action sequences stood out from those in his other hit series, “Batang Quiapo.”
“We faced some tough challenges, but we managed to overcome them,” Martin admitted. “We’re excited about the results, and we believe that the audience will enjoy the new dimension we’ve added to the show.”
Working alongside seasoned actors like Piolo Pascual, Shaina Magdayao, John Arcilla, and Joel Torre was a dream come true for Martin. “I’m grateful for their cooperation and trust,” he said. “They were all very supportive and open to my suggestions.”
