Trouble for popular vloggers Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador may soon find themselves unwelcome from visiting Coron, Palawan. Following a heated visit to the office of Mayor Marjo Reyes, the local council is considering declaring them persona non-grata.

So, what exactly happened? In a viral clip, Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador, known online as #TeamMalakas, confronted Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, a staff member in the mayor’s office. Trinidad accused the team of exploiting Coron’s residents for their vlogs, which they claimed were charity events aimed at helping locals and promoting tourism. Despite their good intentions, Trinidad suggested that some residents did not receive the promised help, which led to a heated argument.

Although Trinidad has since apologized, the controversy has escalated. Local council member Juan Patricio Eyes has proposed a resolution to declare Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador persona non-grata. If passed, this would mean the municipality formally disapproves of their presence, though it wouldn’t legally bar them from entering.

Mayor Marjo Reyes also stepped in to address the situation. In a statement on her Facebook page, she expressed disappointment over the incident and announced an investigation. The mayor emphasized the importance of gathering all relevant documents, complaints, and viral videos to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

While the local government investigates, Rendon Labador has responded by reaffirming his commitment to supporting Coron. In a heartfelt message, he thanked Mayor Reyes and pledged that #TeamMalakas would continue to help those in need and promote local businesses. However, the actions of Rosmar Tan and Rendon Labador, whether well-intentioned or misunderstood, have certainly left a mark on Coron.
