Daniel Matsunaga, a popular actor and model, recently shared updates about his showbiz career and personal life. The Brazilian actor, who has lived in the Philippines for over 16 years, expressed his gratitude for the opportunities the country has given him. “I’m very happy to be here in the Philippines. It’s my home,” he said.
Matsunaga’s career began when he won “Pinoy Big Brother” 10 years ago, a victory that he believes transformed his life. Since then, he has become well-known for his roles in popular ABS-CBN series like “Be My Lady,” “A Love to Last,” and “Halik.” Reflecting on his time in showbiz, he shared, “I’ve been in showbiz for 15 years. I’m so privileged to be able to influence others. I’m still able to work.”
In addition to his acting, Matsunaga has been active with his businesses, which he says have been growing steadily. “All the opportunities in my life happened here in the Philippines,” he added.
While he is busy with his business ventures, Matsunaga is also looking forward to returning to television. “I do miss doing teleseryes. I hope to get a role that is very important,” he shared. He also expressed his support for his fellow “Pinoy Big Brother” alumni, saying, “I’m very happy for them. They are very talented, and I knew from the beginning they would make it.”
Matsunaga also recently celebrated his birthday, marking the occasion by being introduced as the new face of AweSam Smile Dental Clinic. The clinic’s founder, Dr. Sam Bernardo, praised Matsunaga’s sincerity and his positive influence on the public. “He’s been in showbiz for 15 years, and he’s already well-known. He will be helpful in promoting dental education and awareness,” Dr. Bernardo said.
On a personal note, Matsunaga shared that his love life is also going well. He revealed he is in a relationship with a Brazilian woman, and they will soon celebrate their one-year anniversary.
Matsunaga’s journey from a reality show contestant to a successful actor and businessman continues to inspire many, and he remains grateful for the opportunities the Philippines has provided him.
