Eraserheads: Combo On The Run, a documentary about the famous Filipino rock band, has extended its time in theaters for another week. This decision came after the film received great reviews and strong support from fans. The documentary was first planned to run from March 21 to 23, but because so many people loved it, the screenings will continue.

The director of the film, Diane Ventura, thanked everyone for the positive feedback. She said that the support made them decide to keep the movie in theaters longer. “I hope more people get to see the film,” Ventura said. “This is not just a music story; it’s our story. This is for all of us.” She believes the film speaks to many people and shows the band’s connection to the Filipino people.

The exact theaters and dates for the extended screenings have not been shared yet, so fans should check their local cinemas for more details.

The film tells the story of Eraserheads, one of the greatest Filipino rock bands. It shows how they rose to fame, but also the challenges they faced, like their painful breakup. The movie also showcases their big reunion concert, Ang Huling El Bimbo, in 2022, where over 60,000 fans gathered to attend.

The documentary features rare footage and interviews, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s struggles and success. It is a significant part of Filipino music history.

Over the weekend, Eraserheads made an unexpected appearance at a mall in Quezon City. They performed some of their biggest hits, including “Superproxy”, “Combo on the Run”, “Alapaap”, “Spoliarium”, “Pare Ko”, and “Magasin”. The surprise performance thrilled the audience, making the screening even more exciting.

In addition, Ely Buendia, the lead singer of the band, visited another cinema to thank the fans for supporting the documentary.

The documentary is presented by DVent Pictures and WEU, and it is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It offers an emotional and honest look at Eraserheads and their impact on Filipino music.

For anyone who missed the movie during its original run, the extended screenings offer another chance to see the amazing story of Eraserheads and their lasting influence on the music scene.
