Filipino pop trio G22 is dominating the international stage with a recent appearance on China’s hit competition show “Show it All.” This exposure is a significant step for the group, showcasing their talent and the growing influence of P-Pop on a global scale.
Composed of AJ, Alfea, and Jaz, G22 impressed audiences and judges with their performances on the April 25th and May 2nd episodes. The show, produced by EXO’s Lay Zhang, is known for its rigorous training regimen designed to create well-rounded idols skilled in vocals, dance, and stage presence.
While on the show, G22 delivered electrifying performances of their hit songs Boomerang, Babalik, and Bang. Their captivating stage presence resonated with viewers, solidifying their reputation as a rising force in the P-Pop scene. AJ, one of the group’s members, shared, “Representing P-Pop in China was a true honor. We felt an immense surge of support for the genre and are proud to be a part of it.”
The opportunity to work with Lay Zhang proved to be another highlight for the group. Jaz and Alfea expressed their admiration for the EXO member, describing him as a meticulous mentor who gave each artist invaluable guidance and support. Looking ahead, G22 has hinted at the possibility of a new album, envisioned as an “Alpha album,” featuring collaborations with various artists and exploring diverse musical styles. Jaz elaborated, stating, “This potential album will offer a glimpse into the persona of a female alpha, delving into the backstory of artists who have carved their own successful paths.”
