Gabbi Garcia Makes History as First GMA-7 Star to Host ‘Pinoy Big Brother’

Gabbi Garcia has just been announced as one of the hosts for the highly anticipated “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition Collab.” This marks a significant milestone for Garcia and the reality TV show. She is the first star from GMA-7 to take on the hosting role for the long-running program.

The upcoming PBB: Celebrity Edition Collab is a collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA-7, celebrating the show’s 20th anniversary. Gabbi Garcia joins other popular hosts in this unique edition of the reality series, which will soon air on GMA-7. Garcia shared her excitement on social media, posting a message to her fans.

“I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ll be one of your hosts for the upcoming ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition!’ See you all sa Bahay ni Kuya!” Garcia wrote on her Facebook.

Though Gabbi Garcia was not initially meant to be a host, she did once dream of being a PBB housemate. In 2012, Garcia auditioned for the PBB Teen Edition Season 4. Fans can now look back at her audition photos, which she shared on social media.

“Fun fact: Back in 2012, I auditioned for PBB Teen Edition Season 4! (Check last 2 photos!) Fast forward to 2025—looks like I was meant to host it instead! Or who knows? Maybe there’s still more in store,” Garcia shared, reflecting on her journey.

The 2012 Teen Edition featured housemates like Joj and Jai Agpangan, Kit Thompson, Karen Reyes, and Myrtle Sarrosa, who eventually won the season.

Gabbi Garcia’s hosting role is a first for a GMA-7 talent, marking a historic moment for both the network and the “Pinoy Big Brother” franchise. Past PBB hosts have included familiar names such as Bianca Gonzales, Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Robi Domingo.

For Gabbi, this hosting gig is a huge milestone in her career. She recently made guest appearances on “It’s Showtime”, another popular program. This new hosting role shows her growth in the entertainment industry and her expanding reach in television.
