The event took place along Emerald Avenue in Ortigas and featured talks on breast health, hosted by the Philippine Cancer Society. After the discussions, a lively parade followed, with women from all over the country joining in.

Evangelista, a well-known fashion icon and philanthropist, expressed her appreciation to the crowd. “Your presence today means everything to those fighting breast cancer,” she said in a brief speech.

Kyline Alcantara, a rising entertainment star, shared a similar message. “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together for such an important cause,” she said. “We’re not just walking; we’re advocating, motivating, and making a difference.”

The Importance of Early Detection

Breast cancer is a serious global health issue, but early detection can greatly improve outcomes, according to the World Health Organization. The Pink Parade aimed to educate women on the importance of regular checkups and self-examinations, key steps in early detection.
