Hello Love Again Breaks Records in U.S. Box Office

The romantic drama Hello, Love, Again has set a new milestone for Filipino films. A collaboration between ABS-CBN Films and GMA Pictures, it achieved the highest opening weekend earnings for a Philippine movie in the U.S. and Canada. The film grossed $2.4 million across 248 theaters, establishing a new benchmark for Philippine cinema in North America.

A Strong Box Office Performance

Distributed by Abramorama with support from AJMC (Amorette Jones Media Consulting), the film secured the number eight spot at the U.S. box office during its opening weekend. It outperformed its predecessor, Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019), which earned $1.99 million in its entire North American run.

The film stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, reprising their roles as Joy and Ethan. Set in Canada, the story unfolds five years after their emotional parting in Hong Kong. Hello, Love, Again explores how their lives and relationship evolve in this fresh setting. The sequel was directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana and written by Carmi Raymundo and Crystal S. San Miguel. Key producers included Kookai Labayen, with executive producers Kriz Gazmen, Anette Valdes, and Carlo Katigbak.

A Strategic Marketing Campaign

AJMC led a targeted marketing campaign that appealed to diverse audiences. While Filipino-American moviegoers were the primary focus, the campaign also attracted Asian-American, Hispanic, and general audiences. By leveraging Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards’ strong fan base, AJMC used tailored social media content and partnered with ABS-CBN’s platforms, TFC and Cinema One, to reach a wider audience.

Following its North American success, Hello, Love, Again is set to expand internationally. The film will premiere in the Middle East on November 21, with screenings in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
