K-pop darling IU just swept the Philippines off its feet. On June 1st, her HEREH World Tour in Philippine Arena mesmerized nearly 40,000 fans and made history as the first Korean solo artist to perform at the world’s biggest dome.
Promoted by Pulp Live World, the HEREH world tour was a guaranteed hit. The energy in the crowd was contagious from the moment IU stepped onto the stage. You just knew this was going to be a night to remember.
One of the most heartwarming moments came when IU surprised everyone with a beautiful rendition of PASILYO by Filipino band SunKissed Lola. It was her special thank you gift to the Filipino fans! “Did you like it?” she asked with a shy smile. “When I first heard the song, I loved it so much, I just had to learn it. And seeing you guys sing along made it all worth it! I had so much fun!” The crowd cheered, and IU’s genuine affection stole everyone’s hearts. She even took a moment to say, “Manila, ibig sabihin mahal kita (Manila, it means I love you),” sending appreciation to the fans.
HEREH world tour is IU’s much-awaited return to the Philippines after four years. Her last visit was the Love, Poem tour in 2019. The show lasted over three hours, showcasing IU’s incredible vocals and undeniable connection with the audience. Every song, every note, resonated with the crowd. Fans sang along, cheered, and swayed, creating a pure joy that filled the entire arena.
The language barrier simply didn’t exist. IU’s love for her fans shines brighter than any spotlight. This wasn’t just a concert but a shared experience, a night filled with happiness and connection. IU’s talent and heartfelt interactions made the night magical for everyone there.
