K-pop sensations Red Velvet left Filipino fans in awe with their electrifying performance at their “Happiness: My Dear, ReVe1uv” Fancon Tour in Manila on September 14. A night of unforgettable energy marked the group’s return to the Philippines after a year, as cheers and screams erupted from the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Red Velvet’s Irene, Joy, Wendy, Seulgi, and Yeri started the fancon with their iconic debut single, “Happiness.” This set the stage for a nostalgic and exciting night. Their powerful vocals and captivating presence immediately enthralled the audience. Everyone sang along to every lyric.

Throughout the show, Red Velvet delivered a mix of their greatest hits and newer tracks, showcasing their versatility and growth as artists. From the energetic “Ice Cream Cake” to the soulful “Underwater,” the group’s performances were a testament to their talent and dedication.

The fans’ enthusiasm was palpable as they cheered, waved lightsticks, and sang along to their favorite songs. The atmosphere was electric, and the overwhelming support visibly moved the group’s members.

“Your energy and the screams by Philippine fans are too much. I was really surprised,” Seulgi said. “Earlier and also now, I was surprised. Your cheers are the best. You are the best,” added Joy.

A Decade of Red Velvet and ReVeluvs

Red Velvet celebrated their 10th anniversary in style with a special fancon, commemorating their debut in 2014. The group reflected on their incredible journey and expressed heartfelt gratitude. They thanked their fans for their unwavering support over the years.

“Loving you is the easiest thing we have ever done,” a banner from fans read, echoing the sentiments of the entire audience.

Red Velvet thanked their fans for the unforgettable experience. “We came back to Manila after one year, but there was no change. When the screen opened for the performance of ‘Happiness,’ I was really surprised by your energy and screams,” said Wendy. “Thank you for always greeting us all the time with lots of love. And because of you guys, I promise, we hope we can visit you more often.”

Red Velvet’s “Happiness: My Dear, ReVe1uv” Fancon Tour in Manila was a resounding success, leaving fans with memories that will last a lifetime. The group’s captivating performances and genuine connection with their audience solidified their status as one of the most beloved K-pop acts in the Philippines.
