We cannot compromise our health. Here are the important tips to be safe during these time in doing your grocery activities:
1. Wash your hands before and after shopping
Before entering the supermarket, make sure to wash your hand or use hand sanitizers. These lessen the bacteria and viruses in the hands. Remember, we are holding foods inside the market. Some foods are not wrapped with plastics.
2. Sanitize your shopping cart
Virus stays in metal for a long period of time. Sanitizing the handle of cart stops the transfer of virus or bacteria to your hands. You will be holding the cart’s handle for the whole duration of shopping.
3. Plan your Grocery list ahead of time
The items you will be purchasing should be planned ahead of time. This decreases your wasted time inside the store. Take note that the longer you stay in the market, the more you will be exposed with different people. So, to make shopping quick, list all the items before leaving home.
4. Keep proper distance from other shoppers
Since Coronavirus is observed to be airborne, you cannot assure your security. You can be infected even without direct contact from the infected person or the object he/she held.
5. Use debit or credit cards than cash
COVID-19 can be transferred through objects. Cash rotates and held by different people. To be safe, use your credit or debit card.
6. Disinfect all items you bring home from outside
Wash produce & packaging with soap & water. Disinfect your cards, keys, phone, bags & other items you brought in from outside.
7. Throw all plastic bags
Do not reuse. For added precaution, wait 24 hours before using any purchased items.
8. Clean up yourself!
Wash your hands & change entire outfit. For added precaution, take a shower.
