K-pop icon Sandara Park makes her comeback to Philippine showbiz as the main host of TV5’s newest survival talent show, “Be The Next: 9 Dreamers.” The show, a joint project of MLD Entertainment and TV5, is set to premiere on February 8, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the entertainment industry.
During a press conference held in Cubao, Sandara expressed her joy in returning to her “second home.” Reflecting on her journey, she said, “It feels so good to be back home. This is my second home, and it’s always wonderful to be here.”
Sandara’s return is not just about hosting but also about inspiring aspiring artists. “I’m happy that I can help these dreamers get closer to Korea. When I started with 2NE1, I was grateful for the support I received. Now, I want to do my best to bridge them to the opportunities I had,” she shared.
Her experience as a “Star Circle Quest” finalist in 2004 and her success with K-pop group 2NE1 give her a unique perspective. Sandara hopes to guide contestants as they work towards their dreams of becoming global idols.
One of the event’s highlights was the Parade of Trainees, where the contestants showcased their talents and stories. Sandara emphasized the importance of this journey: “Now it’s time for these dreamers to shine on stage, and we’ll do our best to help them reach their dreams.”
A Major Step for the P-pop Industry
The audience will also play a critical role by voting and supporting their favorites. Sandara noted that the show would celebrate collaboration between fans, mentors, and judges.
“Be The Next: 9 Dreamers” represents a significant step forward for the P-pop industry. The show aims to create a globally competitive boy group and spotlight Filipino talent on the international stage.
