“Hello, Love, Again” has reached a historic milestone, becoming the first Filipino film to earn over one billion pesos at the worldwide box office. A collaboration between GMA Pictures and Star Cinema, the film has achieved a staggering total of P1.06 billion as of November 23.

Starring Big Names with Global Appeal

The movie, featuring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, premiered in Philippine cinemas on November 13. It is currently showing in over 1,100 cinemas across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. This massive global reach has helped “Hello, Love, Again” become the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.

Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo’s strong fan base played a key role in the movie’s success. Their on-screen chemistry captivated audiences, drawing millions to theaters. Fans have praised their standout performances, helping the film resonate with viewers around the world.

Over the weekend, the lead actors attended the Asian World Film Festival in California. Kathryn Bernardo received the Snow Leopard Rising Star award at the festival’s Closing Night Awards Gala, held at the Culver Theater. Alden Richards also attended the event, where “Hello, Love, Again” was the festival’s closing film. These international appearances further boosted the movie’s global presence and appeal.

The success of “Hello, Love, Again” outshines the previous highest-grossing Filipino film, “Rewind”, which earned P924 million during its theatrical run. “Rewind”, released as an official entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival, starred Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.

Gratitude to Fans

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, GMA Pictures and Star Cinema thanked their audience, saying, “Thank you for the love, and we love you a billion more.” This message highlights the role of fans in the film’s historic success.

A Bright Future for Filipino Cinema

“Hello, Love, Again” stands as a testament to the growing influence of Filipino films on the global stage. Its achievements not only set new box office records but also showcase the talent and dedication of the Filipino film industry. As the movie continues to perform well internationally, it paves the way for more Filipino stories to reach audiences worldwide.

This groundbreaking achievement inspires Filipino filmmakers and actors to aim higher, creating a promising future for the industry. With its massive success, “Hello, Love, Again” has set a new benchmark for Filipino cinema, ensuring more global triumphs in the years ahead.
